Saturday, went to the office, nothing much ado, and go out for lunch with my colleagues. Went to the Bali Galleria, ate Tongseng Ayam at MM Juice resto. My aunt was planning to cut her hair, but decided to leave after waiting for some time.
Next stop, Discovery Shopping Mall, my aunt and my colleague went shopping; I went to find some DVDs. Bought one, titled “The Music Never Stopped”, recommended by a friend. I hope it’s good. While waiting, I decided to grab a cup of coffee and charge my phone.
We had dinner at NY restaurant, me, my aunt, my colleague and her husband, and two other friends visiting from out of town. The food was okay; we chat and laugh about stuffs. After the two friends went to the airport, the shopping continued. I went to the bookshop, walk around, and after that, sit down on the front stairs of the mall, just relaxing.
We went back after dropping off my colleague at her place in Kuta. Went to the office to take the other car, and then I went off to meet a friend of mine. We meet at Teuku Umar Road. Had some coffee and talks about stuffs, life, work, hopes, dreams, mistakes, family, and all other stuffs that we can think of. The night rolls on, getting later and later. Someone suddenly came up and called my name. He introduces himself, funny how we should meet like this. I do hope everything is okay.
As the night is getting too late, and also the food stall is closing, we went back home. It’s time to get some rest. Extra rest, since tomorrow is Sunday and I have no plan, except getting my photo scans, which my friend told me, was good. Yay for that…

Daily Log in Bali 08.26.2011 - Pura Penataran Beratan and Pura Tanah Lot

I Woke up around 8 in the morning the next day, and walks around the garden. We checked out at 12, drove to the Pura Penataran Beratan, just beside the lake. Took some pictures and went downhill. Stopped for lunch at the Babi Guling Andi Jaya Restaurant, it was full, and the food was great. After that, we drove to Tanah Lot, The Pura on top of a rock at the beach.
We drank holy water and get blessed by the Balinese there. The waves were pretty big. We didn’t stayed until the sun sets, although people said that sunset at Tanah Lot is great, oh well… suddenly I got some weird message from an unknown person. Hmm… what is this I’m getting into, I do hope things will be okay. Still in Tanah Lot, I bought a swimming short. We walked around again and see the souvenirs shops. After finished shopping, we drove back to Kuta, I took another car to go, and went home.
After freshening up, I went to Denpasar to meet some friends… we talked about a plan to do an exhibition. I am all fired up. This is good stuff. We really need to get this going. I will make sure of it. So well, tomorrow I will update the meeting notes. Time to get some rest now; there are still work tomorrow… good night good people.

Daily Log in Bali 07.20.2011 - Bedugul Trip

Woke up early and pack all the stuffs in the car, drove to the office. Wait for my aunt to come and off we go to Bedugul. Well, not really, we stopped by the supermarket to buy some stuffs, picked up my aunt’s friends in Nusa Dua, and then went to Bedugul. We stopped at the Café Tahu in Baturiti, had some variety of tofu cuisine.
After settling in, I decided to take a walk down to the lake. Through the vegetables farms I went down, passing some farmers, cows, and local people. After asking around, I finally reach the Lake. Not much to see, beside the water and plantation around it. Took some pictures, and after going around, I went back to the villa, got lost on the way back, but manage to reach it in time. It was a nice walk.
It’s getting colder, and we went out to find some food. We stopped at the market, ate some satay. Bought some to take away, and went back to the villa. We had some barbequed corn and some sausages, drink some wine, and after some cheerful moments, went to bed. I get to sleep on the top bedroom, it was totally cold…

Daily Log in Bali 07.24.2011 - Kopitiam Oey and Idealist

Got up early, went to the office early, no such luck with listings, got a client, pass it to my colleague, got back from the office.
Went to Kopitiam Oey in Denpasar, had a Bali Coffee (my third one today), opens up my laptop and browse. Zenith came, browse some more, show some things from the web.
Vivick came, returns my camera, chat about collaboration possibility with Lomonesia Bali. Went our separate ways, I went home, got hungry, went out to eat. And pack for tomorrow trip.
Daily Log in Bali 08.23.2011 - A Gig in Ubud

I went to the office and had some coffee. After that, a client came and me and my aunt helped them out to choose some property. Had a few calls about this and that, follows up, and finished the day with no mistakes.
After office, I went to KFC Sanur to meet up with a friend of mine. Had soup, and off we go to Ubud. She and her band were having a gig. We arrived early and waited for the time for her to play. I sat up front and then listened to her singing. I draw some doodles and had a cup of latte.
The band finished playing at 10. And then we all have dinner and chat. Time to go home, the drive felt so fast, I didn’t want to go home yet. We part ways at Sanur, she’s driving a motorcycle. I got an extra surprise before we goJ. After that, I went through Denpasar to get back to my place. Got a text from my aunt, telling me not to go home late. Oh well, I hope it doesn’t had to be that way, and not too often too… it was a good night, music and coffee and company. I just wish time were on my side… Good night…
Daily Log in Bali 08.22.2011 - Dinner With Photo Lab Guy

Woke up early and left for office, had my morning coffee and start the day. After lunch and preparing some stuff, I went to Sanur to do a final inspection of the house for rent, meeting both the owner and the client. The client was my friend’s and she is late. I manage to translate everything quite well for the client and the owner sides. Finished with the paperwork and went back, got a listing at Batursari Street, big Villa. After that, I went back to the office, pack up, send some emails and went to the photo lab to process my films.
While waiting I got myself another cup of coffee at the KFC. Ate dinner with the photo lab guy, Pak Made, and then after waiting for a while got my negative and print a photo. And I also got another good bargain for some expired films. Life is good.
Went home, help my aunt change her bed sheet and mop the floors. Took a shower and get ready for some night activities, which might include some chats and writing/doodling. The dogs are whining because I put them out back. Never mind them, they’ll get thru the night (I certainly hope so).
Daily Log in Bali 08.21.2011 - Beach time...

Got out of the house at 10.40AM, went to Denpasar to meet up with a friend, and off we go to Nusa Dua. Went to the (Geger) beach (I think), found a perfect isolated spot to sit around and chat. Didn’t took me long to get off of my clothes and dive in to the water, it was a nice swim, a little too shallow but the water was nice. Swim for a while, got back to my friend on the shore, she was not swimming because she didn’t bring any change of clothes, it’s too bad.
Walks around the beach, found a dead porcupine fish on the shore, walks some more and sits at someplace with tree canopy.
We stayed until the afternoon there, taking pictures and many pictures. Walks around the beach, and I decided to take a dip again. The water was colder down here. Still it’s nice to swimJ.

After sunset, we went back to Jimbaran, and ate dinner at Tuban. Talks about next project for Lomonesia Bali, and promised myself to update it soon so that things are going well. These people really need more encouragement and movementsJ.
Finished with dinner, delivered my friend back to Denpasar, and went for a cup, make that two cups of coffee. Went home, ate sushi and sashimi, talks about my day with my aunt, she tells me about her day. Change my bed sheet, and ready for bed. Let’s hope for a good day tomorrow. Another happy Sunday indeed…
Daily Log in Bali 07.20.2011 - Nasi Gandul and Chinese Chicken Herbs Stew

This is not happening; I failed to update my journal today. Let me think. Woke up and went to the office early, went to Sanur after lunch, met the tenant for a house, got some things unfinished. Back to the office, talk to my aunt, I have to get more and more listing. I felt dull, for not doing things fast enough. But it’s nothing that I can’t fix. I promised myself and my aunt to work harder, and be more focused on this work I am doing now.
After office, I went to Circle K Kerobokan to wait for a buyer. Wait for maybe half and hour, she came, as before, hurried to go to someplace else, so I just gave her some instruction and she’s off. Saturday night, what to do? I drove thru the Kerobokan Jail, up to Teuku Umar Road, and stopped at Libby Plaza. Had nasi Gandul for dinner, and went to the book store to see some books and stationery. Not doing anything else, I went home, ate another dinner, this time it’s ‘ayam masak obat’ a Chinese chicken herbs stew, good for fatigue, as my aunt says.
Got sleepy earlier today, tomorrow I’m going to the beach, yay…

Daily Log in Bali 08.19.2011 - Event at Bali Galeria & Special price photo print

Woke up early enough to mop the floor and had some breakfast. Drove to the office and had some coffee. Made an inventory list for a property. Go out for lunch and print some photos for tonight’s event, and found out I got some special price for it. Lucky me.
Went back to the office, got some advice from my aunt. Updated some listing in the web. And got into a chat about family with my aunt. She said I have to start thinking about how to focus on the job, and later on help my parents and brothers. She also said that I need to communicate more with them, being a carefree person I was. I need to start writing emails.
Time to go to Bali Galeria, got there just in time; I’m still the first one there. A little disappointed by everyone’s time keeping. A little later on, everyone gathers. We set the displays and photo albums and souvenirs and all. My friend came along; my aunt also came and saw what we are doing and how the event goes. A lot of people are interested about the Lomography cameras and pictures. The crowd was packed, many communities and bands perform there.

When the event ends, we simply go our separate ways. That is unexpected. I stopped by at KFC, had some coffee, and after a while, went to Minimart to get some cigs and a beer.
Went home, little chat with my aunt, and off to bed. Good night…

Daily Log in Bali 08.18.2011 - Late Night Conversation

Slept until 9 AM. Woke up and do some chores, ate spaghetti, and rush to office. Planning to go to Sanur today to inspect the house that was about to be rented.
Went for a detour on the way back, but gave the wrong direction to the driver. Ended up getting stuck in traffic. Went back to the office, received a package from Lomography Store, and went to Bali Galeria for a technical meeting.
Had a Guatemalan coffee at Starbucks, browse and updated my blog. Got into a chat and after that, went to KFC Sanur (Sanur again?) to meet someone. It was a nice conversation (finally), I told her about how my day went, she told hers, and we chat some more, until the time to go home. Went home, got hungry, ate some midnight snack, and went to bed.

Daily Log in Bali 08.17.2011 - Independence Day in Ubud

Got excited about today, I’m going to Ubud to an event on this Independence Day of Indonesia. At first I don’t actually know what there are in store. I meet up with Zenith at Puputan Square, and then went to her friend’s house at Hayam Wuruk Road. We waited for another friend to come, and then off we go to Ubud. We took a different road, not the one that I and my aunt took before.
Arrived at noon, we went to the first event in the middle of rice fields. Event made by Anak Alam. We missed the morning ceremony. Then we took some pictures at the rice field, meet some people, chat about cameras, and move on to another appointment at Puri Ubud. The crowds are gathering around Puri Ubud, a giant “Bade” is made for a “Ngaben” funeral ceremony tomorrow. The deceased was a member of the Ubud Royal family. We meet up with our friends from the pinhole camera community. I took a couple of pictures using a can, and learned how to load and reload photo papers into the can.
We also walked about around the Ubud square, monkey forest, and then look for some other things around the area. I lend my camera to a friend for his photo shoot tomorrow. I hope it’s okay and successful. As the day goes on, we decided to go back in the afternoon. After dropping off two friends, I went to dinner at Kreneng Market. After that, I went to Angkringan Sanglah, meeting up with friends from Lomonesia. They were hilarious… I can’t stop laughing haha… We stayed until half past nine, and then went home.
Got home and ate some spaghetti and chicken wings. And that settles my day. A good day it is. Fun and eventful.

As the result of last night bowling, my hips feel sore. And also I am really sleepy. I think I had 3 cup of coffee today. One at home, one at the office and one after office. Bad luck is coming to me today, my free wifi zone is unavailable, and then my phone, that already been fine for some time, went dull, everything is delayed.
I drawed some doodles for fun. And then, I went to the Bali Galeria, I met my friends, ate fried mushroom, bought myself binder rings for my photos, and got myself snapshots with a cute bicycle helmet.
I went home after that, and suddenly my phone went back to normal. Tomorrow I’m going to Ubud. Riding motorcycles with my friends. I hope all is well. Godspeed…

Extra extra sleepy today. Went to work, do stuffs, and went back. Got a dinner together with my aunt and her friends. Went to bowling and played pool also. Not much to tell really.

Hello GOOD MORNING SUNDAY!!
A quarter to seven in the morning I woke up and got ready. I packed up all the stuffs for today plan, morning photo hunting at Puputan Square. Took my breakfast to go, bring a couple of cameras, and some more cameras for different purpose.
I drove out to the Sunday morning traffic, roads with bicycles and less car. I did drive a car though. Got to the square at a quarter before eight, eat breakfast, and load up my Gakkenflex Camera. Met my friend there, and start walking around the square to take pictures. Went to the corner where there is a playing ground for the kids. The morning air was cool, and the people are cheerful. We took some shots, walk around and took some more.
After that, we went for a walk, to the Badung market, my friend said she just love markets, for no reason. I like walking, she love walking, she said. We went around the block and talked along the way and ends up back at the Puputan Square. Sits down at a spot with tree canopy, talks about stuffs, and time goes by, I had to go somewhere else, and so does she. So off I go to Sanur, promised to meet someone in McDonald’s for some business. I started to feel dizzy because of my lack of sleep, but manage to go thru. Oh yeah, I was suppose to meet this person along with a friend of mine, which cancelled because of sudden work.
After the meeting, I realized I was hungry, I was already in the car, but I decided to go back to the restaurant to order some lunch, with Fries. I ate and took care of some business at the same time. And then, went away to meet my friend who cancelled the meeting before, only to get cancelled again at the last minuteJ.
So, I went to find some photo lab to process my films. Went thru 3 photo lab and called my friend after to get to the right lab, who gives the best price for processing and scanning the films. I talked to the store owner, Mas Dodi. They sell analog and Lomo cameras. And expired films too. While waiting it to be done, I got a text that my friend was back at the square, so I said I’ll come over and keep her company then. I walked from the photo lab (it was at walking distance, really) and saw her spacing out. She just had a bad news. She didn’t believe that I walked. Asked me like ten times that I am telling the truth, and still she was in doubt.
She finally accompanied me back to the photo lab, to be sure that I walked from there. Along the way, we passed through a museum she likes to visit when she was younger, her kindergarten, her alley, her elementary, her favorite convenience store, and reach the lab. The photos were awesome. The photo she took with my camera was also exceptional. I drove her back to her bike, stopping at the bank for some transfer. And then I went back.
I called my double cancel friend for the third time meeting chance, she asked to get some dinner together at Kuta, and so off I go. Waiting for half and hour past the meeting time, she arrived with her boyfriend, and we ate nasi pedas. We went back to her place to talk about some stuff we’ve been working on. I was kinda tired at the time we were there, but we discussed it and got into a conclusion. Had coffee (my second one today) and after that I went home. Found out that my aunt isn’t back yet.
So I freshen up and get ready to sleep. She got back a while after, we talked about our day, and then we burn say some prayers to my late grandpa. We burn some offering. Now I am totally beat. Good night. Today was extra great. Happy Sunday ;p
