Its 7 PM Bali time, the rain is falling, the thunder rumbling, wind howling, and i just got off from my first day of orientation on my new job. quite a good day, had my coffee, got some nibbles, and now, while waiting the rain to ease up a bit, lemme tell you about my day. but I just did, didn't I?
So, carrying on, the atmosphere is good, the pressure is there, the excitement also, the knowledge I will have to muster in a while, and all in all, good start. what else is there? so now I'm still in my working clothes, I think I dressed up a notch too formal for the office, wearing a too short pants that shows my striped socks, a checker shirt, and because of the rain, i took out my yellow raincoat, which is flashing.
Enough with the attire, so my friend borrowed a bike for me to ride on, and then, I still don't know how the process for my bike going, hopefully it will be done soon, or I will have to find something else instead. It's fun knowing that soon I'm going to have my own motored vehicle (not minding the extra work for maintenance and payments). Meanwhile, time seems to be on my side, and I already felt a little better than how it was on new year's day. A new hope and opportunities.
The rain seems to be getting ready to a stop, or at least not that hard anymore, lemme just finish this up, and write some more later on.

log date: 09.16.2011 - Friday Fried Rice
The last couple of days has been quite a ride.
I made another contract closing for a rent villa. it was all going really fast, one moment we were viewing it, the next, we're preparing a contract to sign and talking about how to deal with the payment and all.
And yesterday, everything is done. well, not done, I still have things to do today, but mostly everything was taken cared of. And then when I was chilling down the park, I got a call on my other client, their stove was on fire, it's quite scary, but luckily the response was quick, everything was being taken cared of, and today they should be installing a new set of gas equipments for the stove, and a fire extinguisher for safety measures.
So, enough with work, let's move on to something else. A cup of Bali coffee, and an open sharing of live stories, and a kiss in the park. my days turns out to be quite eventfull and yet all interesting.
And today is Fried Rice Day, the morning was gloomy, the sun is heating up now, and my client call for a re-schedule meeting. Hope for no Trouble, Do the Best You Can.
Niki.

log date: 09.12.2011 - Monday Roll
It is Monday, and things are going great.
I went to meet a client, and everything was fine, a good start.
I went to look for a Villa after, and got some nice pictures.
in the afternoon, i went out on my own to take some more pictures of a house,
didn't find any trouble on the way, the place was so-so, but that's okay.
Carrying on, I met someone selling his bicycle. it was a nice one, and I'm thinking about buying it.
but I will make sure after he take care of the tires and all.
It's time for dinner, and i stopped by at a Kopitiam. had a black fried rice, and a black coffee.
and it was perfect.
And also, today is full moon, and we're gonna pray for my late grandpa at home. so after this, i will get home.
Not a very good piece of writing here, I know. But things are going great today, so no worries.
I will be writing more and more, and hopefully, it will get better.

Daily Log in Bali 08.27.2011 - Got Off Work Early, Discovery Mall, Late night Coffee
Log Date: 08.27.2011
Saturday, went to the office, nothing much ado, and go out for lunch with my colleagues. Went to the Bali Galleria, ate Tongseng Ayam at MM Juice resto. My aunt was planning to cut her hair, but decided to leave after waiting for some time.
Next stop, Discovery Shopping Mall, my aunt and my colleague went shopping; I went to find some DVDs. Bought one, titled “The Music Never Stopped”, recommended by a friend. I hope it’s good. While waiting, I decided to grab a cup of coffee and charge my phone.
We had dinner at NY restaurant, me, my aunt, my colleague and her husband, and two other friends visiting from out of town. The food was okay; we chat and laugh about stuffs. After the two friends went to the airport, the shopping continued. I went to the bookshop, walk around, and after that, sit down on the front stairs of the mall, just relaxing.
We went back after dropping off my colleague at her place in Kuta. Went to the office to take the other car, and then I went off to meet a friend of mine. We meet at Teuku Umar Road. Had some coffee and talks about stuffs, life, work, hopes, dreams, mistakes, family, and all other stuffs that we can think of. The night rolls on, getting later and later. Someone suddenly came up and called my name. He introduces himself, funny how we should meet like this. I do hope everything is okay.
As the night is getting too late, and also the food stall is closing, we went back home. It’s time to get some rest. Extra rest, since tomorrow is Sunday and I have no plan, except getting my photo scans, which my friend told me, was good. Yay for that…

Daily Log in Bali 08.22.2011 - Dinner With Photo Lab Guy
Log Date: 08.22.2011
Woke up early and left for office, had my morning coffee and start the day. After lunch and preparing some stuff, I went to Sanur to do a final inspection of the house for rent, meeting both the owner and the client. The client was my friend’s and she is late. I manage to translate everything quite well for the client and the owner sides. Finished with the paperwork and went back, got a listing at Batursari Street, big Villa. After that, I went back to the office, pack up, send some emails and went to the photo lab to process my films.
While waiting I got myself another cup of coffee at the KFC. Ate dinner with the photo lab guy, Pak Made, and then after waiting for a while got my negative and print a photo. And I also got another good bargain for some expired films. Life is good.
Went home, help my aunt change her bed sheet and mop the floors. Took a shower and get ready for some night activities, which might include some chats and writing/doodling. The dogs are whining because I put them out back. Never mind them, they’ll get thru the night (I certainly hope so).
Daily Log in Bali 08.21.2011 - Beach time...
Log Date: 08.21.2011
Got out of the house at 10.40AM, went to Denpasar to meet up with a friend, and off we go to Nusa Dua. Went to the (Geger) beach (I think), found a perfect isolated spot to sit around and chat. Didn’t took me long to get off of my clothes and dive in to the water, it was a nice swim, a little too shallow but the water was nice. Swim for a while, got back to my friend on the shore, she was not swimming because she didn’t bring any change of clothes, it’s too bad.
Walks around the beach, found a dead porcupine fish on the shore, walks some more and sits at someplace with tree canopy.
We stayed until the afternoon there, taking pictures and many pictures. Walks around the beach, and I decided to take a dip again. The water was colder down here. Still it’s nice to swimJ.
Pictures of us, taken with a LOMO HORIZON Camera, Black and White Film,

After sunset, we went back to Jimbaran, and ate dinner at Tuban. Talks about next project for Lomonesia Bali, and promised myself to update it soon so that things are going well. These people really need more encouragement and movementsJ.
Finished with dinner, delivered my friend back to Denpasar, and went for a cup, make that two cups of coffee. Went home, ate sushi and sashimi, talks about my day with my aunt, she tells me about her day. Change my bed sheet, and ready for bed. Let’s hope for a good day tomorrow. Another happy Sunday indeed…

Daily log in Bali 08.01.2011 - meetings and last minute cancel
Log Date: 08.01.2011
First day of the new month, Monday, and I got some plans for today, confirmed all of them. One got cancelled. Went out to some appointments, first went to Petitenget Street, and after that went to Marlboro Road, down at Taman Sari Street. Had lunch after, and while heading to the 3.00 appointment, spotted a villa for rent. Took pictures and then when to my appointment. Finished with it, went back to the office, feeling very sleepy, and actually dozed off in the car. Finished up work, and went home.
Got out to KFC Gelael, waiting for friends to come, found out they cancelled by the minutes. People should consider things more thoroughly and call early.
Went back home, my aunt cooked rawon, and bought a new DVD player, Yay!!
I’m not feeling very informative today. See you tomorrow.

Come and gather round this Sunday

“Kopi Keliling”, or you may call “Kopling” is a collaborative Art Project put together
by a bunch of artists from Indonesia that took coffee as the theme of the project.
Why coffee?
Coffee has been a part of Indonesian culture for ages. Written records show that the
first coffee to set foot in Indonesia (Batavia) was back in the year 1696 by the Dutch
colonial known as VOC (Vereninging Oogst-Indies Company). You may remember it
from the history lessons. Since then Indonesia has been exporting coffee to many
countries all over the world.
Indonesian eventually took the coffee drinking culture into their daily life. We just love a
cup of coffee while having a conversation with friends. It is one of the great qualities of
this concoction. From conversations we can exchange stories, thoughts, or even dreams.
Kopi Keliling?
We are invited by the artists to listen to their story, to feel their thoughts and see their dreams
through a journey of visuals in 5 different places within 5 months. Where in each different places
we will experience different stories.
As they say: “good things happen over coffee”, come join us, grab a cup of coffee and have a
great conversation. You’d never know, it might lead us to something extraordinary.
Kopi Keliling Project Volume 1
The first of many Kopi Keliling series to come. Featuring 10 talented illustrators fromJakarta.
They will tell their tale about coffee through their latest artwork. Accompanied with lovely tunes
from our local bands, together we will experience a fresh look of art and creativity. A celebration
of our local talent and heritage which is art and coffee.
